Targeting 101

​​Join this fun class to learn how to teach your dog to “target” items, such as your hand or an object, on cue. Targeting can be a fun and easy behavior to teach your dog with many applications, including: recall, reorienting your dog to you in distracting environments, and simply moving a dog from point A to point B without the use of force. We will discuss how to develop the behavior from scratch and how to add the cue.

Separation Anxiety

Separation anxiety in dogs can be one of the most challenging behavior issues to deal with. Some common behavioral signs include, vocalizing, pacing, panting, destructive behavior, and elimination. In this live class, we will discuss what separation anxiety is, how to identify separation anxiety related behaviors and assess your dog, how to address this issue using an effective and humane approach, as well as what to avoid and what can make the problem worse.

Leash Walking Challenges

Also, learn how to teach your dog to walk on leash without pulling, how to prevent and deal with a "freeze", and other leash walking tips & tricks! We will use positive reinforcement based training techniques.

Overcoming Fears

This workshop will focus on dogs that are limited by specific fears. We will look at how you can help your dog build confidence and overcome fear in order to enjoy more fully. I'll also cover leash walking basics, including freezing, and include a Q & A session for other behavior & training questions.
